PKP2cKO Transgenic Mouse Model
Conditionally-inducible mouse model for arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC), an inherited type of heart disease that can cause sudden death.
Technology No. DEL05-01
The PKP2cKO transgenic mouse, also denoted “PKP2-CreErt2 mice”, is a conditionally-inducible Plakophilin-2 (PKP2) knockout model for arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC), an inherited type of heart disease that can cause sudden death. Conditional knockout of PKP2 is cardiomyocyte-specific and tamoxifen-activated. ARVC is also known as arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia (ARVD) and arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy (ACM).
